Thursday morning (25th February, 2021) started off with an early meeting between CoachEd6 coordinator Dr Renzo Kerr Cumbo, and Mr Kevin Azzopardi, Education Officer (Physical Education) within the Ministry for Education in Malta.

This meeting was intended at presenting the aims and objectives and then the targeted audience of CoachEd6. Mr Azzopardi welcomed the project wholeheartedly as he could identify the importance of the Award in Sports Coaching (EQF/MQF Level 6; 24 ECTS) for the coaching community in Malta. This award will be launched in the coming months, and is expected to start with the first four cohorts of sports coaching learners in Malta, Denmark, Iceland and Turkey.

Azzopardi identified the coaches at the National Sport School (NSS) and the teachers within the Sport Career Development Programme (SCDP), as possible beneficiaries of this Eramsus+ project led by the Malta College of Arts Science and Technology.
