MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

LIMITED NUMBER OF PLACES
There is a limited number of places for the first cohort of accepted learners for the Award in Sports Coaching (EQF/MQF 6; 24 ECTSs). There will be however 4 concurant cohorts, made of one cohort in Malta, one in Iceland, one in Denmark and the another cohort in Turkey.
Selection Criteria & Points System
The places for participants in this Award in Sports Coaching (MQF/EQF 6; 24 ECTSs) are limited to 16 participants per partner country/cohort (16 x 4 = 64 participants). In order to obtain a heterogenous cohort of participants, the following selection criteria will be set:
- Shared opportunities amongst different sports (example a maximum of 2 participants from each represented sport).
- Selection Priority given to a maximum of 8 present learners/students on a relevant degree.
- Selection Priority given to a maximum of 8 professionals working in a sports coaching related field, on full or part time basis.
Considering that in any of the priority areas above, there may be more than the requested/necessary applicants, the following points system will assist in the selection process.
Points System
Those applicants who fit the minimum entry requirements can apply for this Award. In the last section of the application form, applicants need to apply the selection criteria, which act as a marking system to rank applicants. This ranking system will be applied should any of the partner Higher Education Institutions get more applicants than the places available. The marks will be shared publicly without sharing applicants’ personal details. The following are the areas within the points system:
