Andreas Küttel - Academic Expert
Dr Andreas Küttel, is the coordinator of the Danish CoachEd6 team for SDU. Andreas is a former Olympian and World Champion in ski jumping from Switzerland. While active in elite sport, he received a Master in Sports Sciences from the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.
After his elites sports career, Andreas moved to Denmark where he conducted his Ph.d at the University of Southern Denmark with the topic on athletes transition out of elite sport seen from a cultural perspective.
His research interests are in sport psychology (athletes’ careers and transitions, dual career and mental health, coaching), he teaches courses about talent development and coaching at Masters level. Dr Küttel applies his expertise as a consultant with high performance teams.
Louise Kamuk Storm - Academic Expert
Dr Louise Kamuk Storm is an associate professor at the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics. Her research interest is in sport psychology, with a focus on cultural and relational aspects of youth sport. She is teaching and leading master courses within the areas of learning, talent development and sport psychology.
She has experience in providing support to federations, municipalities, and clubs in their development of youth sport strategies and coaching educations. She works applied as consultant providing support to youth sport coaches’ personal and professional development. Louise is an important part of the team of academic experts on CoachEd6.
Robert T Book Jr - Academic Expert
Robert,, one of the team of CoachEd6 academic experts, coming from SDU, Is a former collegiate athlete with 10+ years of experience as a coach (basketball & soccer) and teacher in an underserved urban high school in the United States.
He holds a B.A., B.Sc., and a M.Ed., and is currently nearing the completion of his Ph.D., in sport psychology at the University of Southern Denmark.
Robert’s research interest focuses upon athletic talent development environments in underserved communities with an emphasis on providing sport opportunities for elite and recreational athletes that are fair and equitable. He also prioritizes cultural sport psychology, social theory, and intersectionality in efforts to level the playing field for marginalized athletes who come from low SES circumstances.
Jonas Vestergaard - Field Expert
Danish field expert Jonas Vestergaard, is head of elite coach education at the CoachEd6 associate partner, NOC and Sports Confederation of Denmark. He has many years of experience as a coach working with talent development in gymnastics. As well, he has worked as a sport psychology consultant working with athletes, coaches and organizations. Moreover, Jonas has been employed at the University of Copenhagen Department of Sport and Exercise working as a teacher teaching practical and theoretical gymnastics. Lastly, he is co-author of a book chapter in The Psychology of Soccer concerning developing cultural leadership in coaches in a Danish talent development environment.
Jonas is a candidate in Humanities and Social Sport Sciences and the European Master Studies of Sports and Exercise Psychology.
Rikke Løwe - Learner
Rikke is studying a master’s degree programme in Sports and Health at the University of Southern Denmark, following the specialization in Competition and Elite Sports.
She has years of experience as a coach working with talent development in gymnastics. Today she is teaching one of the best TeamGym men’s teams in Denmark. From volunteerism in the Danish Gymnastics Federation, she has experience with providing support within developing training and workshops for coaches. Recently she has worked applied in a gymnastics club developing policies and strategies for youth and elite sport.
Rikke will surely provide important feedback to the development of ‘Coaching Education Units’ within the first phase of CoachEd6.
Simon Jørgensen - Learner
Simon Jørgensen has about three years of experience in coaching young football players (both boys and girls) primarily at elite levels. Simon holds the UEFA B coaching license. His interest is especially embedded in the cultural and communicative aspects of coaching and the creation of team spirit.
Mr Jørgensen enjoys playing a lot of different ball-sports in his spare time. That includes but is not limited to football, squash and others. Simon is currently working on his Bachelor degree project which focuses on the coach’s role as a cultural leader
