Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Universitesi
Since its establishment, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University has been in pursuit of quality higher education and research in order to contribute to the sociocultural, scientific, and technological development of Turkey. Developing a systematic and comprehensive education programme for the thorough dissemination, discovery, and application of knowledge requires a competent infrastructure. As such, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University embarked on a fast advancement and investment project in 1994. The benefactor of the university, Sıtkı Koçman, whose financial contributions to education deserve great admiration, has also supported this push for growth. Today, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University encompasses a two million square metre campus surrounded by a spectacular mountain view and smaller university sites and schools across the province. Currently, the university services over 32,000 students and employs over 1,300 full time academic staff.
Assit. Prof. Dr. Ceray Aldemir - Coordinator
Aldemir is working at Mugla Sitki Kocman University Public Administration department as an assistant professor and vice-director of Mugla University Research and Project Coordination Center. Ceray has a special interest in multi-level governance between the different stakeholders. She has experience in the management and implementation of different national and international projects.
Dr Ceray Aldemir is the representative coordinator of Mugla Sitki Kocman University for CoachEd6.
Prof. Dr. Tuğba Uçma Uysal - Academic Expert
Prof. Dr. Tuğba Uçma Uysal, who was previously director of Mugla University Research and Project Coordination Center, has lately been appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Tuğba has international and national journal articles, books, and book chapters about Accounting. Her research interests cover a range of topics in accounting theory, auditing, accounting ethics, fraudulent auditing. She has experience in the management and implementation of different national and international projects.
Prof. Dr. Tuğba Uçma Uysal brings extensive experience about management and EU funded projects, to this CoachEd6 project.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Gürel GÖKSEL - Academic Expert
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Gürel GÖKSEL works at the Department of Sports Management, Faculty of Sport Sciences, Mugla Sitki Kocman University. At the same time, he is the Vice Dean of Mugla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Sport Sciences. He has international and national journal articles, books, and book chapters about Sports management, public relations, and communication at the sports clubs. In addition, since 2013 he has been working as a football referee athletic performance coach in the Turkish Football Federation. He is a member of the Society of Sport Sciences and Union of Academic Staff.
Ali Gürel Göksel is the main Turkish academic expert on behalf of Mugla Sitki Kocman University.
Dr. Ender ŞENEL - Learner
Although, in this project he will be providing this project with learners’ insight, Dr. Ender ŞENEL has two master’s degrees; one in Physical Education and Sport and the other in Physical Education and Sports Teaching. He also has two PhDs in Physical Education and Sports Teaching. He has been working as an academic at Mugla Sitki Kocman University for 8 years. He has scientific studies into sports psychology, teaching, and learning in physical education. He currently works on athletes’ goal commitment. He has been working as an assistant coach in a football club for two years, designing a training program to increase physical and psychological performance. He uses video analysis and statistical programs at the expert level. He has 5-year experience in Turkish folk dances. In 2011, he was the winner of World Folk Dance Championship in Zakopane, Poland. He is a teacher of folk dances including different regions from Turkey.
Derya Sakallı - Learner
Derya Sakallı works as a research assistant at the Faculty of Sport Science, Mugla Sitki Kocman University. She has a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sport Teaching and Coaching Education programs. She has a master’s degree in Physical Education and Sport, continues her education in Ph.D. at the same program. She played handball in various level teams for about 15 years. She served as a national handball player and is a level three handball coach.
Derya will also provide the CoachEd6 academic experts with learners’ insights, during the units’ development process.
Mehmet Ali Öztürk - Field Expert
Mehmet Ali Öztürk has completed his undergraduate education in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University School of Physical Education and Sports Recreation Department in June 2006 and he also completed his master’s degree in Recreation Department at in July 2009. He obtained a PhD degree from Gazi University Physical Education and Sports Department in October 2014. Öztürk has many international articles, chapters and field books and more than 100 citations have been made to his works.
Mehmet Ali Öztürk is the Turkish field expert, who will provide the CoachEd6 team with insight from the field, and how those insights shall inform the development of coaching education units.
